Product Introduction

Description

Human plasma and serum contain albumin as the primary protein component. Accounting for 55% to 65% of total protein, albumin serves as a comprehensive protein nutritional index. Despite its small volume, albumin is a valuable indicator of glomerular and membrane integrity. Dehydration is associated with high levels of albumin, while decreases in albumin are commonly accompanied by reductions in total protein. This decline is often observed in individuals experiencing malnutrition, chronic gastrointestinal diseases, and related conditions. Diseases such as diabetes, hyperthyroidism, and high fever can lead to excessive protein intake. To measure the albumin content, the Albumin Reagent is utilized. The reagent reacts with bromocresol green (BCG) in succinic acid buffer, resulting in the formation of a colored complex. By measuring the absorbance of the reaction at 600 to 630 nm, one can establish a positive correlation between the absorbance and the concentration of albumin in the sample.

Performance Characteristics

1. Large Linearity:For Albumin - Up to 70 g/L.

To achieve good accuracy when determining reference materials, it is important to ensure that the relative deviation does not surpass ± 6%. This ensures that the results obtained are reliable and consistent with expected values. Therefore, it is crucial to pay close attention to the accuracy of measurements and take measures to mitigate any potential errors. By doing so, we can improve the quality of our research and contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge.

The precision of the instrument is excellent, with a within-run repeatability coefficient of variation (CV) of less than or equal to 2% and a relative range (R) between runs of less than or equal to 5%. These results demonstrate outstanding precision and reliability in the instrument's performance, providing users with highly accurate and consistent measurements.
