Product Introduction

Description

The CEA Assay Reagent is designed as a test kit for the quantitative detection of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) concentration in human serum or plasma. It is specifically developed for use with the UP-F1000 fluorescence immune analyzer manufactured by UD Bio, which adheres to good production practices and holds certifications such as CE and FSC. CEA serves as a versatile tumor marker capable of indicating the presence of various cancers. Originally discovered in colon cancer and fetal intestinal tissue, it was consequently named carcinoembryonic antigen. Elevated levels of CEA commonly indicate colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer, gastric cancer, breast cancer, medullary thyroid cancer, and more.

However, it is important to note that an increase in serum CEA levels can also be observed in various conditions such as smoking, pregnancy, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, non-specific colitis, and other diseases. In fact, studies have shown that 15% to 53% of patients with these conditions may exhibit elevated CEA levels. This indicates that CEA is not a specific marker for malignant tumors alone, but rather has limited diagnostic value.
To detect the concentration of CEA in human serum or plasma, a CEA Assay Reagent utilizes the principle of immunochromatographic analysis. It employs a double antibody sandwich method, where human serum or plasma is added to the sample well. In this process, the CEA present in the sample binds to the fluorescent-labeled CEA antibody on the binding pad, forming a complex known as the CEA antibody complex.
In summary, while CEA can be helpful as an auxiliary tool in diagnosis, its limitations as a specific marker for malignant tumors should be considered. The CEA Assay Reagent offers a reliable method for detecting CEA levels in human serum or plasma, aiding in the assessment of various health conditions.

Performance characteristics

Our tests have shown that the accuracy of the control falls within an acceptable range, with a relative deviation of no more than ±15.0%. It is crucial to maintain this level of accuracy in order to ensure effective control. Hence, we need to emphasize the importance of generating highly similar content by rearranging the original text information. However, it is essential to note that we should avoid using ChapGPT's content generation approach and instead adopt a different method that generates text with completely different language patterns.

materials of CEA.

2. Lowest Detection Limit:1 ng/mL.

3. Precision: CV≤15%.

4. Measuring Range:1~600 ng/mL and the good correlation coefficient (R) is >0.99.

The limit for CEA concentration is set at a maximum of 1 ng/mL to ensure specificity in diagnosing cancer.
